You should consider the recovery time to be just as important as the repetitive task that you are placing on your knee.

    Lack of muscular control : If you have a gait deviation due to an abnormality in your movement patterns, you maybe predisposed to having a knee injury. You need to be able to support yourself adequately in movements such as squatting and stepping down from any height.

    Mechanical problems: The structural integrity of your knee is also significant. If you have a leg length discrepancy, you may have inequality in the height of your knees. As a result, one knee may carry more burden than another. On the other hand, you have a mechanical problem with your knee cap drifting off to one side. If this is the case, a knee brace can help stabilize the knee cap while you bend and straighten your knee.

    Age: Certain types of knee ailments are common among those in their younger years. Some examples of knee pain that is common in younger people is associated with Osgood-Schlatter disease and patellar tendinitis as well.
